What is New Murabba?

New Murabba is a project to create one of the largest modern downtowns in the world, transforming Riyadh's skyline. It's a blend of technology, culture, and sustainability, offering a unique living and working environment.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman al-Saud initiated New Murabba, aimed at redefining urban living in Riyadh.

Situated at the intersection of King Salman and King Khalid roads, northwest of Riyadh, New Murabba is centrally positioned for accessibility and prominence. It is a short drive to the airport and is well-connected to major areas in Riyadh.

The Mukaab is a landmark within New Murabba, featuring cutting-edge technology and innovative design. It stands as one of the largest built structures globally, enhancing Riyadh's global appeal. The Mukaab will offer state-of-the-art entertainment, dining, and retail experiences, setting a new standard in architectural and experiential luxury.

New Murabba will include over 100,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, retail spaces, offices, leisure facilities, and community centres, all within a sustainable, walkable downtown. New Murabba will feature a museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose theatre, and over 80 cultural and entertainment venues.

The project emphasises green spaces, walking and cycling paths, and sustainable infrastructure to promote healthy, active lifestyles and community engagement. The design revolves around a 15-minute downtown concept, ensuring everything is within a short walk or ride, emphasizing convenience and quality of life.

The project is slated for completion in 2030, marking a new era in Riyadh's urban development.
