New Murabba Signs Parsons as Infrastructure Lead Design Consultant for Phase 1 Delivery
New Murabba, a Public Investment Fund company, has appointed American firm Parsons as Infrastructure Lead Design Consultant (ILDC) for the first phase of its landmark development, underscoring the destination’s rapid transition from vision to delivery. The partnership represents a major milestone in establishing the technical foundation that will enable the activation of Phase 1 and support future phases of Riyadh’s new downtown. The agreement was signed at New Murabba HQ by Michael Dyke, CEO of New Murabba, and Carey Smith, Chair, President, and Chief Executive Officer for Parsons.
As Infrastructure Lead Design Consultant, Parsons will oversee the design and integration of New Murabba’s core utilities, mobility systems, and transportation networks – converting concept designs into detailed, constructible solutions that will form the backbone of the destination’s long-term growth. The company’s global engineering expertise, which spans more than 80 years, and digital design capabilities will be central to ensuring that New Murabba’s infrastructure aligns with the destination’s ambition to deliver a smart, sustainable, and connected urban environment.
The agreement highlights New Murabba’s commitment to partnering with world-class firms as it advances from planning to implementation. The appointment of Parsons reinforces the destination’s focus on integrating cutting-edge infrastructure with human-centric urban design – ensuring seamless connections between living, working, and leisure spaces across the masterplan.
